98 have a chocolate brown leather lower section that meets a contrasting black leather shaft at mid-calf. Three adjustable straps run down the outer side of the shaft, each one secured with a square silver-toned buckle and riveted in place. The leather throughout has a worn, burnished finish that shows variations in tone and surface texture.
The toe is rounded and the heel is a stacked wooden block style in a medium brown finish. The platform sole has visible wear on the edges and bottom. Small metal rivets are visible along some of the seams where the straps attach. A zipper runs up the inside of the shaft. The sole is black rubber with a textured tread pattern, and you can see the size marking stamped on it. The heel and platform both show scuffing and darkening from use.
