The tall shaft unzips completely to convert these into ankle boots. The leather has a matte, slightly textured finish in pewter grey that shifts darker at the toe and heel. A metal zipper wraps around the lower shaft, secured with a pull tab and leather tie. When worn full height, the zipper sits as a decorative band just above the ankle.
The toe is rounded and the sole is chunky black rubber with a deep tread. The heel is a solid block, also in black, with a squared-off back. The shaft has a smooth, clean surface with minimal visible stitching. The leather at the toe and heel shows some natural variation in tone, darker and shinier where the finish has worn in.
The convertible design means you get two boot heights from one pair. The upper shaft section detaches at the zipper line. The ankle portion has a back pull tab in black fabric.
