98 boots has a crocodile-embossed texture in a dark metallic finish that shifts between black and gunmetal tones. The pattern covers the entire upper, with the scales catching the light differently depending on the angle.
The boots sit at ankle height with a rounded toe and a low block heel. A metal zipper runs diagonally across the outer ankle on each boot, with a pull tab at the top. The zipper is functional hardware rather than decoration. The sole is black with visible texture.
The croc embossing has depth to it — you can see the grooves between the raised scales. The metallic sheen gives the leather a slightly iridescent quality, with hints of bronze and pewter showing through the darker base color.
