Pleated shorts styled to look like a skirt, in a light beige with vertical folds that run all the way around. The fabric has a slightly textured surface and holds the pleats in place. An elasticated waistband sits at the top, finished with a narrow grosgrain ribbon trim in a dark brown or black. A matching fabric tie threads through the waistband and fastens at the front in a bow.
The Kooples label is sewn inside at the back. The shorts are fully lined and the pleats create volume without adding bulk. The hem falls in soft points where the pleats end. The whole piece reads more as a skirt than as shorts until you look closely at the construction.
