98 Elwood boots collapses into soft folds and gathers, giving them a relaxed, lived-in shape. The leather is a dark espresso brown with visible grain and natural texture variation across the surface. Multiple leather straps wrap around the lower shaft and ankle, secured with metal buckles and hardware on the outer side. A full-length side zipper with metal teeth runs down the outer edge for entry.
The toe is rounded and the platform sole is chunky with deep lug treads. The heel is a thick block style, stacked and solid. The shaft opening is wide and unstructured, designed to slouch rather than stand upright. The leather shows some creasing and wear consistent with use, particularly where the shaft naturally folds.
